QVC and FFANY Honored at ‘Shoe Oscars’ with Icon Award for Philanthropy
January 29, 2019: The 2018 Footwear News Achievement Awards – often called “The Shoe Oscars” – recently recognized the transformative work of one of QVC’s largest charitable collaborations: QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale.”
Mike George, President and CEO of Qurate Retail, Inc., and Ron Fromm, President and CEO of the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY), accepted the Icon Award for Philanthropy on behalf of the team behind this annual event, which has generated more than $55 million for breast cancer research and education over the past 25 years.
“Each year, I continue to grow more proud of the QVC family, as well as our FFANY associates, who work endlessly on this event as part of our ongoing commitment to support charitable causes that promote the success and wellness of women,” said Mike.
