QVC and HSN Introduce Clean Beauty Seal

June 4, 2019: Initiative Sets New Industry Standard While Educating Consumers about Clean Beauty

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (June 4, 2019) – Multi-platform retailers, QVC and HSN, today announced the launch of a Clean Beauty seal to allow consumers to easily navigate and shop Clean Beauty offerings.

Seven brands will launch with the new seal in two categories including skincare and makeup. QVC Clean Beauty will debut with brands including Josie Maran, Alpyn, Dr. Gross and LashFood and BrowFood. HSN Clean Beauty will launch Fountain of Truth and Dr. Roebucks. The customer may also shop bareMinerals on both QVC and HSN. The portfolio of clean beauty brands on both networks is expected to grow in the coming months as brands are carefully assessed and reviewed with the same rigor that QVC and HSN use to validate on-air claims. While the process is meticulous and time-consuming, the outcome allows customers to easily navigate an otherwise complicated space.

We know our customer will appreciate our thorough approach and the positive implications associated with eliminating ingredients of concern from their daily beauty routine.”

Based upon the latest benchmarks within the industry, alongside recent consumer ingredient concerns with specific feedback from QVC and HSN customers, the clean beauty program is the culmination of significant research. All products with QVC Clean Beauty and HSN Clean Beauty seals designate that the brand is formulated without sulfates (SLS and SLES), parabens, methylisothiazolinone/methylchloroisothiazolinone, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, petrolatum, mineral oil, chemical sunscreens, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, triclocarban, aluminum and talc. The seals also indicate products that contain less than one percent of synthetic fragrances and are certified cruelty free by a third-party source.

Both QVC and HSN will feature information online and on-air to help consumers explore the Clean Beauty standards and navigate the products

QVC Clean Beauty launches today on-air at QVC in conjunction with the Today’s Special Value, presented by one of the network’s Clean brands, bareMinerals. The TSV, Power of Good Deluxe Original Foundation 6-piece Kit retails for $59.94 for a limited time.
