Cornerstone Brands Names Connie Hallquist to Lead Garnet Hill, Ryllace
June 26, 2020: Cornerstone brands, a collection of five aspirational lifestyle brands within Qurate Retail GroupSM, today announced the appointment of Connie Hallquist, an accomplished direct-to-consumer retail leader, as President of Garnet Hill® and RyllaceTM. Together with her leadership team, Connie is responsible for driving profitable growth, development, and team member engagement at these two brands.
Garnet Hill has been offering distinctive bedding, home furnishings, sleepwear, shoes, women’s apparel, and children’s clothing, online and in catalogs, for more than 40 years. Ryllace launched in September 2019 as a premium, casual, plus-size women’s apparel brand.
Connie brings to Cornerstone over 25 years of senior leadership experience across a diverse portfolio of companies within the direct-to-consumer space, along with a strong marketing foundation and an impressive history of business transformation. Most recently, Connie was CEO of DNA Diagnostics Center, a prominent private DNA testing lab, where she led a global organization handling DNA samples across multiple channels, including direct-to-consumer, retail, B2B, and government agencies.
Previously, Connie was CEO of Healthy Directions, a leading provider of doctor-formulated nutritional supplements, products, and natural health guidance. Prior to this, she founded Gold Violin, a leading multichannel marketer of independent living products for the mature market. Her experience also includes work at Orchard Brands, Prophet (a consultancy), and Kraft Foods.
Connie was selected as one of the 2019 Most Influential Corporate Board Directors by Women Inc. Connie currently serves on the Board of Directors of Medifast, Inc.
Connie earned her bachelor’s degree in French language and literature from the University of Virginia and has an MBA from UVA’s Darden Graduate School of Business.
