Entrepreneur Dreams Come True as Next Big Find Contestants Launch Products
November 22, 2019: Following QVC and HSN’s nationwide search last summer to discover the next big find in beauty, fashion, accessories and jewelry, the first group of entrepreneurs are getting ready to launch their products.
Starting with nearly 660 entries, applicants were narrowed down to 270 finalists who pitched live to our team of judges in St. Petersburg, FL, West Chester, PA, New York, and Seattle. More than 90 entrepreneurs received a “Big Ticket” during their pitches, meaning they were invited to come back and speak with our buyers.
Now the first group of entrepreneurs will see their dreams come to fruition as they launch their products on QVC and HSN, tapping into our digital reach on our ecommerce platforms and our broadcast presence in nearly 100 million homes.
“This opportunity could be a game changer for so many brands,” said Ellen Lennon, Director Buying Beauty, QVC. “We all feel that we have been on this incredible journey with them since the auditions, and can’t wait to cheer them on as they make their debut.”
The first vendor to launch on HSN is Mavie, a beauty brand that focuses on self-discovery, self-growth and self-love. QVC also recently launched Dabble and Dollop, a premium bath set for children where they can mix aromas of strawberry, tangerine and vanilla to create their own shampoo, body wash, and bath bubbles.
“We know our customer loves discovering something new, so we are thrilled to have the chance to introduce them to so many great brands,” said Lennon. “ Hopefully she is just as excited as we are when she hears their stories.”
