Interim Chief Financial Officer, Qurate Retail Group

Jim Hathaway was named Interim Chief Financial Officer of Qurate Retail GroupSM in October 2022. In this role, Jim oversees financial operations and strategies globally for Qurate Retail Group as it continues to position itself as a world-leading multiplatform experiential retailer. Jim is responsible for Financial Planning and Analysis, Financial Reporting, Supplier Payables, Payroll, Customer Finance, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit, and the business unit finance teams, and he serves as Interim CFO for QVC, Inc.

Jim joined Qurate Retail Group in May 2021 as Senior Vice President, CFO for QxH, Qurate Retail Group’s largest reporting unit, comprised of the company’s flagship video commerce (“vCommerce”) brands in the U.S., QVC US and HSN. vCommerce includes video-driven shopping across linear TV, ecommerce sites, digital streaming and social platforms. As CFO for QVC US and for HSN, Jim played a key role in several strategic growth initiatives, including the realignment of QVC US and HSN under separate leadership teams in March 2022, which positioned each brand to increase differentiation and deepen relationships with its specific customer base.

Jim previously spent 25 years with PepsiCo/Frito-Lay, where he took on increasing responsibility in financial leadership roles. Most recently, Jim, was Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis, with full P&L accountability for Frito-Lay North America, a multibillion-dollar business. Jim previously held various divisional and business unit CFO roles within Frito-Lay’s U.S. operations.

Prior to PepsiCo, Jim served for three years as an officer in the U.S. Army. Jim earned his bachelor’s degree from College of the Holy Cross and his MBA from Columbia Business School.
