Corporate Philanthropy and Team Member Giving
Partners in Giving, Qurate Retail Group’s US team member giving program, matches 200% of team member donations to the following national featured charities - Nest (www.buildanest.org) and Cancer and Careers (www.cancerandcareers.org). The company also matches 100% of any team members’ donation to a charity of their choice. Since its launch in 2012 with QVC® (later joined by HSN® and Zulily® in 2019 and Cornerstone Brands in 2020), Partners in Giving has raised over $7.5 million for charities around the US.
In addition to Partners in Giving, Qurate Retail Group team members across the globe donated to various causes in 2021, resulting in a combined $1.4 million in charitable donations from our team members.
Our commitment to supporting the communities where we live and work goes far beyond the markets where we operate. As part of its ongoing relationship with World Vision, in 2021 QRG provided 3718 pallets of essentials to be distributed by World Vision to those in need around the world. Through donations to World Vision, and organizations like them, QRG generated global product and in-kind donations in the amount of over $23 million.
Garnet Hill Collaboration with Good360
With every set of face masks sold until October 2021, Garnet Hill donated $10 to Good360 in support of their COVID-19 relief efforts. This initiative generated a cumulative donation of over $75,000 to Good360, which, according to their website, would enable Good360 to distribute at least $750,000 in products. Good360, a global leader in product philanthropy and purposeful giving, works with retailers, manufacturers, and brands to distribute highly needed donated goods to its diverse base of vetted nonprofit partners.
QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale”
In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2021, QVC was proud to present our 28th annual “FFANY Shoes on Sale” event. Shoppers were invited to show you care with the shoes you wear and shop more than 50 thousand pairs of brand name shoes offered at sales pricing* to benefit breast cancer research and education. QVC, the footwear industry and the Fashion Footwear Charitable Foundation (FFCF) have worked together to bring QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale” to life. This event has raised more than $60 million to date, providing seed money to fund groundbreaking breast cancer research across the country that has led to life saving treatment. In 1996, FFCF seed research funding supported the initial stages of groundbreaking research at the John Wayne Cancer institute that led to the development of the sentinel node biopsy in breast cancer. This breakthrough research resulted in a dramatic shift in breast cancer surgery and treatment and is the current standard of care.

Beauty with Benefits
Since 2013, QVC US has teamed up with Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) for “Beauty with Benefits,” a two-hour broadcast that brings together the beauty industry to raise funds to empower and educate people with cancer to thrive in their workplace. HSN joined the initiative in 2019.
Shoppers are invited to purchase a wide range of products donated by the leading names in color cosmetics, fragrance, skin, body, and hair care to benefit Cancer and Careers. An organization established by the Cosmetic Executive Women Foundation, Cancer and Careers was created to leverage the power of the beauty industry to raise awareness and funds to empower, educate and provide essential tools to people with cancer so they can thrive in their workplace.

Team members from across our brands and markets volunteer their time and energy to get involved in our communities. Each year team members receive a Paid Volunteer Day to volunteer at any charity of their choice. In 2021, team members globally volunteered over 9,700 hours through the Paid Volunteer Day program and our other corporate volunteer programs. One such program is our Qurate Fellowship Program, a skills-based volunteer program in which Qurate Fellows share their experience and knowledge in an immersive, ten-day collaboration with Nest-affiliated artisan businesses. Here is just a sample of some of the other ways our teams have given back:
QRG Fellowship and Small Business Spotlight Mentorship Programs
In 2021, team members put their skills and expertise to good use through many virtual volunteering opportunities, providing pro bono mentoring services to entrepreneurs and small businesses through the Qurate Fellowship Program, a two-week immersive mentorship supporting artisans around the world (which launched in 2019). And in a year when small businesses continued to need more help than before, team members provided guidance to help navigate new challenges, through our Small Business Spotlight Mentorship Program.
St Jude Children’s Hospital
Across HSN, QVC, Ballard Designs, Garnet Hill, Grandin Road and Frontgate®, the generosity of our customers and our team members has resulted in donations of more than $17.8 million to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a world leader in research into and treatment of childhood cancers and other catastrophic pediatric diseases. Over the past 15 years our donations have helped ensure that families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food
Give Joy Holiday Giving Program
The holiday season is our busiest time of year, as we rush to deliver all those special gifts our customers order for their families and friends. But our team members always make time to reach out to those less fortunate as well. Each year, our teams from across brands participate in a number of charitable activities within the communities where we live and work – from the Salvation Army Angel Tree to Toys for Tots, Meals on Wheels and Wreathes Across America, as well as our local children, family and senior programs.
Our Zulily team members participated with the Seattle Children’s Hospital Foundation, Community Chest, Mary’s Place, Toys for Tots and many other organizations to give back to local families in need for the holidays. Over $130,000 in cash and product were donated to help those in need during the holiday season.
$1,000 a Day Giveaway to Charity
Since 2014, HSN has celebrated Customer Appreciation Month (April) by asking customers to nominate their favorite charities each day for a chance to win a $1,000 donation. This “$1,000 A Day Giveaway” resulted in $30,000 annually in total donations to such organizations as Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, Honor Service Dogs and Willow Domestic Violence Center. The 2021 initiative also included the addition of match funding for customer donations. Customers could choose to donate to one of the 30 chosen organizations and make a donation that was matched 100% up to $5,000 per charity ($1,000 per transaction). HSN receives hundreds of nominations each year, and we’re honored to support the philanthropic passions of our customers.
